March 1st Roadhouse Redfish Fishing Tournament
Tournament By-Laws
1. Permitted fishing waters will be Galveston Bay System (no gulf, beach).
2. Scoring will be based on total weight of 3 legal Redfish between 20” - 28”. Digital scales will be used. In the event of a tie, purse will be divided equally between tying contestants.
3. Tournament hours are 6:00am to 3:00pm, Saturday, March 1, 2008. You may leave launch site at anytime but you may not begin fishing until 6:00am tournament director’s time, synchronize your watches. (Polygraph Question)
4. You must report in at weigh in site no later than 3:00pm tournament director’s time. No Exceptions!
5. All state, local and federal laws must be observed at all times.
6. Life jackets or PFD’s approved by the Parks & Wildlife Department must be worn by anyone under the age of 17. (Polygraph Question)
7. Anyone under the age of 17 must submit the written consent form signed by a parent or legal guardian along with the entry form. No Exceptions!
8. There will be an optional big fish pot of $10.00 per contestant and will be paid to the contestant weighing in the heaviest Redfish between 20” – 28” (100% payback). When you come to scales you must designate which fish you want to enter for largest Redfish pot.
9. Fish may be caught on rod and reel only, this includes fly rods.
10. Live, dead or artificial bait may be used.
11. All iced fish become property of Redfish Roadhouse and will be used for the fish fry following the awards ceremonies.
12. You may enter in person at Redfish Roadhouse Bar & Grill or you may mail entries to Redfish Roadhouse, Redfish Tournament, Rt 1, Box 1224, Dickinson, TX 77539. Entries must be post marked no later than February 20, 2008. Entries later than 2/20 must be made in person at Redfish Roadhouse.
13. This is an amateur fishing tournament. If you have guided for pay on Galveston Bay within the last 6 months, you are ineligible to fish this tournament. (Polygraph Question)
14. Wade fishing, bank fishing, or from a boat is allowed.
15. Redfish Roadhouse assumes no responsibility for injuries, accidents or losses resulting from or engaging in this competition (fish at your own risk).
16. If there is a dispute, the tournament director will have the final decision.
17. Any infraction of the above by-laws will be grounds for immediate disqualification.
